Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department is launching an anti-drone squad to prevent people from flying their drones over crowded residential areas, according to Japan Today.

The anti-drone squad is a result of new regulations that forbid people from flying their drones over certain residential areas. The regulations came after a drone was found with a small amount of radiation on the prime minister's office building in April.

When drones are spotted in no-fly zones, the squad will first attempt to contact operators and order them to land their drones.

"We will beef up security at key facilities using interceptor drones in order to prevent danger and obstruction caused by drones," Fumio Yamashita, the deputy superintendent general of Tokyo's police department, told Japanese paper The Mainichi.

If the drone operators fail to comply, the anti-drone squad will release their own drones that will be equipped with cameras and nets measuring six to 10 feet long. The nets will be used to capture the drones.
