There are 7 deleted scenes on the 'Star Wars' Blu-ray — here they all are
In this 31-second scene from the start of the film, we see an extended shot from Finn's point of view. One of his fellow Stormtroopers has just been killed, leaving a bloody handprint on his mask. Terrified and confused, he runs into a Jakku villager. Instead of killing her on sight, as instructed, he hesitates, scared, and let's her go unharmed.
This 47-second clip would have introduced General Leia Organa (formerly Princess Leia) and C-3PO into the film much sooner. After Poe's captured by Kylo Ren, Leia learns the Jakku village where she sent Poe was destroyed by the First Order. Instead, Organa orders the Resistance to focus its efforts on finding BB-8, who may hold the key to Luke's whereabouts.
There's also a brief appearance by Greg Grunberg, asking about his comrade Poe.
The 22-second scene is an extended version of the X-Wing fighters arriving to Maz Kanata's castle after the First Order attacks and kidnaps Rey. This would have marked the first time we saw Poe Dameron back on screen after he was believed dead on Jakku.
The scene, with unfinished visual effects, shows Poe with BB-8 in space, getting ready to head into lightspeed. It was probably best for this scene to be cut. Seeing Poe again for the first time in space feels less rewarding than finding out he survived crash landing on Jakku from Finn's point of view as he flies over head.
A trailer showing this brief clip of this was previously released. Kylo Ren and a few subordinate stormtroopers search the Millenium Falcon after its crash landing on Starkiller Base. Kylo goes to the cockpit and seems to sense Han Solo was aboard the ship. He then heads out of the ship onto the snowy terrain of Starkiller Base and looks out over a wide expanse.
Set after Finn finds Rey, this scene shows the two of them escape from Starkiller Base, before their climactic final battle with Kylo Ren. Hasbro has released a few toys showing Stormtroopers pursuing Rey and Finn in vehicles and that's exactly what this scene, without finished visual effects, shows.
Finn is critically wounded following his lightsaber battle with Kylo Ren. He's last seen in the film lying on a stretcher, where Rey wishes him farewell and a speedy recovery. This is an extended version of this scene. The woman who was patching up Chewie reassures Rey that Finn will be just fine before heading off in search of Luke Skywalker.
This scene is set in the tunnels beneath Maz Kanata's castle when Han Solo and Maz set out to find Rey. On their way out, they get stopped by a group of Stormtroopers who tell them they're getting taken into custody by an order from Supreme Leader Snoke. Han gets cheeky and asks what makes Snoke Supreme.
The Stormtroopers ask them to cast aside their weapons. But when they ask for Han's blaster he tells him it's broken. Then it just ends, abruptly.
We don't get to see how they escape, which is a bit of a bummer because this is by far the best deleted scene of the bunch. The best guess is that the tunnel collapses and they're able to thwart the First Order.
