Looks fantastic, doesn't it? It's one of the most highly-anticipated games coming in 2016, and it's just gotten a release date: June 21 on the PlayStation 4 and PC. Hot dog, that's soon!

More than just a release date, the game got a fancy special edition version announced on Thursday as well. Though the game is being created by a small UK studio known for making digital-only stuff like "Joe Danger," "No Man's Sky" is getting a splashy Steelbook release, as seen here:

That includes the fancy packaging, a 48-page art book, an exclusive comic (that goes into the lore behind the game), and some bonus in-game stuff to play with in the vast expanse of "No Man's Sky." You'll even get a special PlayStation 4 "dynamic theme" — that means the menus move and change as you use the PlayStation 4. Pretty neat, but there's no price on the Limited Edition just yet; we're guessing it'll cost more than the standard $60 price for PlayStation 4 retail games.

For those of you unfamiliar with "No Man's Sky," the long and short is it's a first-person game where you fly a space ship around a near-infinite universe that's created on-the-fly as you explore it. Rather than hand-building a game world piece-by-piece, the folks at Hello Games created a set of algorithms that would create a tremendously large number of worlds (filled with animals, plants, and structures) — all manufactured by mathematics as you fly through it. Really!
