Residents near the Dubai hotel fire are offering shelter using the hashtag #NeedAnAddress

Following a massive fire at the Address hotel in Dubai on New Year's Eve, people in the city have begun using a hashtag to offer safety and shelter to those in need of a place to stay.

 And here's another hotel in Dubai offering to take in guests for free. 

 This Twitter user says the hashtag has started trending in Dubai. 

This isn't the first time a hashtag has been used to offer shelter in an emergency. The hashtag #PorteOuverte trended wordwide as people in Paris opened their homes following the attacks in November.
