J.K. Rowling finally revealed the name of the school for American wizards

You still have to wait several more months before you'll be able to see "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but this week J.K. Rowling finally revealed an important plot detail that fans have been clamoring over for months.

In honor of the Celebration of Harry Potter at the Universal Orlando Resort, actress Evanna Lynch, best known for her portrayal of Luna Lovegood in the "Harry Potter" series, announced the name of the North American school for wizards that will be feature in the upcoming movie. 

Drum roll please. 

The name of the school is Ilvermorny, and based on a map released on Rowling's website, Pottermore, it is located somewhere in the northeastern section of the continent.

If you're a total Potterhead, this name might not come as a complete surprise. Several fans believed Ilvermorny would be the name of the American Hogwarts after Warner Brothers reportedly filed a trademark for the name in 2015

The announcement is just one more thing to add to the growing list of details we already know about "Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them," Rowling's "Harry Potter" spinoff movie that takes places in 1920s America. You can read more about the movie here
