People are already starting to have difficulty using the new chat bots Facebook just announced in Messenger.

Messenger bots are like mini apps designed to talk to you like a human being. Companies like CNN, 1-800 Flowers, and Spring have made Messenger bots to help you get news alerts, order flowers, and shop for clothes.

These bots are supposed to be an easier, more conversational way to get the information you need in an instant. Poncho's bot, for instance, is supposed to quickly tell you the weather.

But it turns out that communicating with these bots, at least in their early iterations, isn't as easy as Facebook would probably like it to be.

Facebook is saying that the platform these bots are built on is in beta, so Messenger bots will hopefully get smarter over time. Facebook is also giving artificial intelligence tools to developers to make their bots smarter, which will presumably keep conversation hiccups from becoming a persistent issue.
