Clock of the Long Now: 10,000 year clock
A monumental undertaking has broken ground in the wilderness outside of a small Texas town. A limestone mountain is being hollowed out to make room for a 200-foot-tall clock made from metal gears. It's the future home of The Clock of the Long Now, a project by the Long Now Foundation to foster long-term thinking. Even Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has invested in the project.
