Aston Martin and Red Bull are coming together to create what will be "the most luxurious car in its class, but also the quickest and the fastest." Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said to Auto Express.

The partnership with Red Bull is also allowing Aston Martin to dip their toes back into the world of Formula One. Though, in a pretty minuscule way. But still!

Starting this season, Red Bull's RB12 Formula One race cars will begin wearing the Aston Martin logo on their front nose body panels.

With the official unveil of their stunning DB11 earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show and now this, March has been pretty serious for Aston Martin.

Aston Martin has said that their new hypercar, codenamed Project AM-RB 001, will use F1 racing technology. Palmer also said to Auto Express that the car will be able to lap race tracks just as fast LMP1 and F1 race cars.

Performance-wise, the Project AM-RB 001 will likely run with cars like the Bugatti Chiron and the Koenigsegg Regera, but it doesn't sound like Aston plans to join engage in their tireless high-speed record battle. From the looks of it, this car will be all about going around race tracks incredibly fast.

Red Bull's Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey and Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman will be spearheading the project.

Aston Martin hasn't released too many concrete facts about the project, but basically from what we can tell, it'll be fast, luxurious, and expensive.

Project AM-RB 001 is set to be shown off in just a couple of months, and a full-scale release in 2018.
