This 'Game of Thrones' parody perfectly captures how ‘Walking Dead’ fans felt after watching the season finale

Warning: Major spoilers ahead for both "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead" season six.

"The Walking Dead" season finale ended with a huge cliffhanger teasing a character's death, welcoming comparisons to the bloody reputation of HBO's "Game of Thrones."

Though season five of "Game of Thrones" ended with the slightly ambiguous death of main character Jon Snow, "The Walking Dead" showrunners were less clear about which character was in danger. Noting this key difference, one fan decided to create a parody "Game of Thrones"/"The Walking Dead" mash-up.

Last chance to turn back and avoid spoilers!

"The Walking Dead" finale introduced the long-awaited villain Negan and his barbed-wired baseball bat named Lucille. After lining up Rick's crew on their knees, Negan plays a game of "Eeeny Meeny Miney Mo" to decide who will be bludgeoned to death.

As he lands on the person who will die, the camera point-of-view switches to the perspective of Negan's chosen murder victim, meaning viewers never see who he's attacking. Instead, a bloody visual effect begins trickling down the screen, simulating the blood coming from the victim's head as he or she is beaten to death. Then the screen cuts to black, concluding the sixth season of the show.

Many fans were upset with the cliffhanger ending, calling it "cheap" and comparing the scene to the season five finale of "Game of Thrones." But, as people pointed out, "Game of Thrones" at least showed viewers who was under attack, even if his fate is up for debate

Playing on this comparison, YouTuber BeBen created a mashup of the two shows by placing "The Walking Dead" fade-to-black, blood effect in the middle of an iconic "Game of Thrones" moment — the Red Wedding.

The scene from season three, episode nine is arguably the biggest (and bloodiest) shocker of the entire series, and HBO's showrunners left no stone un-turned when it came to bringing the deadly scene to life. But in BeBen's version, nearly all of the action is cut. The video description reads: "In a world where AMC got the rights to 'Game of Thrones.'"

The video was uploaded to a "Game of Thrones" subreddit, where commenters lamented AMC's choice to leave the ending so ambiguous. Others chimed in to say the parody needed more hashtags and ads, both of which were a sore spot for "The Walking Dead" fans who tuned into the hour and a half finale on Sunday.

Though "Walking Dead" fans will have to wait months until learning which character got the axe (or bat, we should say), "Game of Thrones" returns on April 24.
