After several media outlets reported that GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy used to perform as a rapper in college, he attempted to do a freestyle rap in a televised interview. The longshot candidate appears to have a better chance of a White House job than a record deal anytime soon.

According to a Politico report from Wednesday, Ramaswamy performed as a "libertarian-minded" rapper while attending Harvard University known as, "Da Vek." He told the news outlet he was inspired by superstar rap artist Eminem's story.

And while the article described his short-lived rap career, it didn't provide the reader with a glimpse of his talents.

Thankfully, the 37-year-old candidate appeared on Fox News' "Fox & Friends," where host Steve Doocy allowed Ramaswamy to share his gift with the world.

Put on the spot, and without a beat, Ramaswamy entertained Doocy with a few short bars:

"My name's Vivek, it rhymes with cake. It ain't about thee, it isn't about me, it is about the, the United States is about liberty, so 'Fox & Friends' join us on the trail, we'll have some fun, I'll see you out the trail."

Ramaswamy also recently spoke with radio host Michael Smerconish, who also pressed Ramaswamy to rap for him. Ramaswamy obliged.

"It's Vivek like cake, I'm not fake, and I swim in a lake of truth, that's me Vivek, yeah"

According to an average of "major" polls from FiveThirtyEight, Ramaswamy currently averages approximately 7.1% support in the polls regarding the GOP presidential primary. If elected, Ramaswamy has suggested pushing Congress to increase the voting age to 25 unless someone served in the military or passed a citizenship test, pardoning former President Donald Trump, closing the FBI, and eliminating the jobs of 75% of executive branch employees.
