UCLA gymnast has captivated millions on Facebook with her nearly flawless routine

A UCLA gymnast is going viral for her stunning floor routine that nabbed her a near-perfect score and millions of new fans.

Sophina DeJesus, a senior at UCLA, performed her floor routine on February 6 in a competition against Utah. After a man named Marcus Cheatham uploaded her performance to Facebook that night, it started to get passed around like crazy.

As of February 8, it’s been viewed by over 16 million people. You can watch it in full here:

DeJesus not only nailed her gymnastic moves, but wowed the crowd with her dance skills in between tumbles and perfect landings.

After she was done, the crowd began to chant for the judges to give her a perfect 10 score. “It had just about everything,” one of the announcers said.

Though DeJesus didn’t get a flawless score, she was awarded 9.925, coming very well close to the 10 the crowd was hoping for and helping UCLA beat Utah 197.1 to 197.075.

DeJesus ended up tying for fourth place in the floor exercise results, according to ESPN, and scored 9.85 on both the balance beams and bars.
