"The Last Guardian" has been a long time coming. The emotionally affecting tale of a small boy and his giant, furry dragon friend trying to escape some ancient ruins was first announced back in 2009, but went dark for several years until being resurrected last year.

But the wait is almost over! Sony announced on Monday night that the PlayStation 4 exclusive will be released on October 25. Check out the trailer below for some great new footage, including a dark version of the dragon creature:
