Three Argentinean entrepreneurs have created a fully-connected electric bike that aims to reinvent the way people commute in their cities.

The bike, called the Gi FlyBike, features smartphone integration and can fold in one second so that it can easily be taken anywhere and stored without a fuss.

A Kickstarter campaign for the Gi FlyBike launched earlier this week and has already raised $122,537, surpassing its initial goal of $75,000.

While it can be ridden like a normal bike, it also has an “electric flight assistance” feature, which enables the rider to tap the bike’s electric motor to travel 15 miles per hour with a range of 40 miles with a single charge.

It has an app that enables users to access and control different features on the bike, including its GPS system and LED smart lights. Riders can also use the app to control the bike’s smart lock feature, which will lock the bike automatically once the rider is 10 feet away from it.

There’s even a USB port on the handlebars where users can charge their smartphone with the power they generate by pedaling.

Besides its smartphone integration, the Gi FlyBike also boasts some innovative features that help eliminate bike maintenance.

Instead of a bike chain, the Gi FlyBike has a belt drive system that enables riders to power the bike. The belt drive requires no grease, no maintenance, and makes no noise, according to the project’s Kickstarter page. It also has puncture proof tires so riders don’t have to worry about flat tires.

Made of aluminum alloy, the bike only weighs about 37 pounds and can be easily stored when its folded in half.

While the Gi FlyBike has already met its Kickstarter fundraising goal, the are still about 50 bikes available to order starting at $1,990.
