The 7 most creative ways to cheat in 'Pokémon GO'
The wonderful and ridiculous world of "Pokémon GO" pushes players to explore the places they live. That's a real delight, no doubt, but walking is also for chumps. We invented cars and bikes and Segways and, uh, hoverboards for a reason, right? Right.

The same creativity that pushed humanity toward the creation of the motor vehicle is pushing some intrepid "Pokémon GO" players toward similar solutions in the virtual Pokéworld. Who wants to do all that walking when you can, say, attach your phone to a drone and catch Pokémon from the comfort of your backyard? Not these folks!
These are the seven best "Pokémon GO" cheats we've seen thus far.
Beyond catching Pokémon, another major aspect of "Pokémon GO" is hatching eggs. You collect eggs from Pokéstops, and when you put them in your incubator you're attaching a distance-based unlocking mechanism. Rather: You have to walk a bunch to hatch your eggs into Pokémon.
One solution: strap your phone to your dog and allow him to roam free (hopefully somewhere without a lot of people who could snatch your phone). Make sure it's really secure!
She'll go find you Pokémon. She'll hatch your eggs. She'll even send you updates! Her name is Ivy St. Ive, and she's charging $20/hour for her professional tracking and capture services. Here's how she describes what she does:
"My services are simple: I will walk around in 1-4 hour shifts signed in to your account capturing every single Pokémon I come into contact with, activating every Pokéstop I pass and walking non-stop to help hatch your eggs. I'll even send you hourly updates while you're at work/class/on a hot date informing you of any really exciting things I've come across for you. Pokémon training help, gym battles and strategy tips are also included, if requested."
Some players are taking their Pokémon catching on the road, collectively paying around $30/hour to catch pocket monsters while being driven around. Our colleagues at Business Insider spoke with one driver who's taken around several groups in the past week:
"They reached out around 7 p.m. and I picked up two girls and one guy at Upper East and drove them around for an hour. There are Ponytas in Central Park so we spent some time there, and also caught Pikachu on the FDR. It is always an enjoyable time because they're able to get new and rare Pokémon that aren't around their neighborhood. And everyone's excited!"
Roombas are great for getting your house clean, but they're also great for attaching your phone to and hatching eggs! One smart Reddit user connected the two concepts in the delightful image you see above. Just like attaching your phone to a dog, there's no way to catch Pokémon with this method. You can, however, employ the Roomba to do all that walking you don't have time for, thus resulting in Pokémon hatched from incubating eggs.
BONUS: Your house is clean afterward.
A few brave engineers took a nice Android phone, strapped it to a drone, and operated the phone remotely using an Android app called Air Droid that enables you to control your phone from a PC. The result is a drone that can remotely catch Pokémon. Just imagine how scared little Pikachu must be when he sees that setup headed his way.
As an added bonus, since drones are only so fast, this method is also perfectly viable for hatching eggs without walking. Double double, Pokémon style!
Similar to the professional Pokémon Trainer services offered by Ivy St. Ive, "Poké Walk" is a service that promises to hatch your eggs and capture Pokémon while you do something else. They offer services based on distance, and they're putting together an app that allows you to summon Trainers to wherever you are. Sounds too good to be true? It may be. The service hasn't launched yet, but you can sign up on the group's website to find out when it goes live.
Our own Chris Snyder happened upon this smart method for hatching eggs: put your phone on a turntable and let it spin! You'll need to set your phone to not turn off, but you can rack up distance by simply leaving your phone on a spinning turntable for awhile. Huzzah!
