You can rent 'Van Gogh's bedroom' on Airbnb for $10

For the small fee of $10, you can stay a night in a real-life replica of Vincent Van Gogh's famous painting, "The Bedroom."

As part of its latest Van Gogh exhibition, the Art Institute of Chicago replicated every detail of the painting's room, from the straw hat above bed frame to the glass bottles on night stand. The museum posted the room's listing on Airbnb Wednesday.

Step inside the seafoam green and blue room, as imagined by the revered painter.

For comparison, this is the original 1889 painting by Van Gogh, on view at the Art Institute of Chicago:

Here is the replica which will soon be available to rent for $10 per night on Airbnb. The wooden chairs, bed, and nightstand are aligned to mirror Van Gogh's work.

"This room will make you feel like you're living in a painting. It's decorated in a Post-Impressionist style, reminiscent of Southern France and times gone by," the AirBnb listing reads. "Its furniture, bright colors, and artwork will give you the experience of a lifetime."

But unlike the 19th century bedroom, this version comes with Wi-Fi, a TV, a washer, and a dryer.

The room is inside an apartment complex in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Available dates will be announced through the museum's Facebook and Twitter.

The installation is a part of the museum's exhibition 'Van Gogh's Bedrooms,' which focuses around three paintings he did of this intimate space. This is the first time the paintings will all exist in the same room in North America.

The larger exhibition, which runs from February 14 through May 10, will also feature 36 works by Van Gogh.
