The mini Model S, which goes on sale this May, is powered by lithium-ion batteries, has working headlights, and a sound system that let's the driver play tunes from a mobile device.

You can even customize the car's color and wheels online

The mini Tesla starts at $499, but you'll probably end up spending more once you tack on some add-ons.

For example, the car comes standard with a 140 Wh battery, but you can upgrade to a 190 Wh for $50 and get 50% more usage on a charge. For another $15 you can even customize the car's license plate.
