The rumored redesign of Snapchat Discover is here. And it's a big one.

Snapchat has taken its Discover partners, which includes the likes of BuzzFeed and MTV, and put the content they produce alongside Snapchat's own curated Live Stories and original content.

You can also subscribe to Discover channels so you never miss their content.

Here's everything you need to know about Tuesday's big Snapchat update.

Snapchat's Stories page used to look like this:

Discover partners, which make original content in Snapchat every day, were shown at the top of the screen. You could tap on each circular tile to open a publisher's channel or swipe over into a list of all the Discover channels.

Under Discover you could find Snapchat's Live Stories, which are crowd-sourced from Snapchat users around the world and curated by Snapchat around a specific event, holiday, or theme.

Now, Discover looks like this:

The new design is much more visual and shows you a preview of what's inside each channel.

The new layout combines Discover channels, Live Stories, and Snapchat's own produced content together.

It effectively creates a one-stop entertainment hub within Snapchat.

Snapchat's Discover partners put out a mix of videos, quizzes, text articles, and goofy memes each day that all disappears after 24 hours inside the app. Partners sell video ads in their channels and Snapchat takes a cut of the revenues.

You can also subscribe to certain channels (but not Live Stories).

Discover channels you've subscribed to will appear at the top of the Stories page when there's new stuff to see inside. Their tiles will be bigger until you open them.

Once you've viewed the new stuff from your subscribed channels, the tiles will collapse again.

This new interface for Discover gives Snapchat a chance to show off its own content in a more visual way, too.

While Snapchat doesn't produce its own channel for Discover anymore, it does make a politics show about the presidential election that premieres exclusively in the app.

Another thing you'll notice in the new Snapchat update is the redesigned nav bar at the bottom of the screen. The bottom left button takes you to Chat, the middle button takes you to your camera, and the right button takes you to Stories.
