Samsung unveiled an incredibly thin, curved, and beautiful line of TVs this week, called the Ultra Slim SUHD TV.

It's equipped with quantum dot technology, which display deeper and richer colors than the regular TVs we're used to. The quantum dot technology will feature in all of Samsung's 2016 line of 1080p smart TVs, as well as its super sharp UHD (ultra high-definition) models.
If you placed a regular LED TV next to one with quantum dot technology, you'd see the difference. In fact, Samsung's 2016 lineup of quantum dot TVs are even better than last year's:
Samsung's 2016 smart TV and UHD offerings are also equipped to handle content filmed in HDR — a format that enables a wider spectrum of light to be captured, thus making pictures look more true-to-life. Being able to display this type of video format means any movie, TV show, or video that's shot in HDR will have deeper blacks and brighter highlights for a better looking picture. It's a nice touch!
As a result of Samsung's combined efforts, the picture is stunning.
The TV's thinness and the astonishingly thin borders around the screen don't technically add to the picture quality, but it makes for a stunning feature of whatever room it lives in.
We've yet to hear specifics on pricing or availability for Samsung's Ultra Slim SUHD TV lineup, but we'll update as we hear more — expect it to be pricey. Still, the Ultra Slim SUHD TV is a vision into what TVs in the future will look like: the future is bright, thin, and apparently very colorful!
