iPhone owners just got a great new web browser

If you love the Firefox web browser on the desktop and you happen to own an iPhone, you’re in luck.

Mozilla on Thursday finally released a version of Firefox for iOS, which means it'll work for iPhone and iPad. You can download the free app here.

If you download the app and sign into your Firefox account, you can access all your browsing information across all your iOS devices. That includes your browsing history, all your passwords for all your favorite websites, and even all your open tabs on your desktop computer.

Android users are accustomed to Firefox on their devices; the browser been available as an Android app for three years now. Firefox has a high rating among Android users in the Play Store, so it should be interesting to see how well iPhone users take to the browser.

As of last month, Firefox is the second most popular web browser with anywhere between 11% and 17% of worldwide usage on the desktop. It’s the most popular desktop browser in many Asian and African countries, as well as Germany, Cuba, and Indonesia.
