This gorgeous concept car has a steering wheel that looks like a game controller

Luxury sports car maker McLaren unveiled its latest concept car Wednesday, and the steering wheel looks, bizarrely, like a video game controller:

Dubbed the the McLaren 675LT JVCKENWOOD, the car was shown off for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.

The terrible "JVCKENWOOD" name refers to the Japense electronics company of the same name — JVC Kenwood — which McLaren's partnered with to design the car. McLaren

The concept car also features a heads up display that relays basic information like the speed on the driver's dashboard. The display that appears was inspired by fighter plane graphics. Sadly, no photos of the display were shared.

That nifty steering wheel with its many buttons is intended to help the driver more easily control the heads up display while driving.

The car also has advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which can detect the presence of nearby vehicles and warn the driver.

The concept is also equipped with three cameras: one where each rearview mirror would normally be, as seen above, and one in the rear. Whether that is shown on the heads up display or another display system isn't clear from the press release, but let's hope it's somewhere easy to find — that stuff is pretty important!
