Notorious former pharma CEO Martin Shkreli appears to have been hacked on Twitter

Martin Shkreli has had quite the week. On Friday, he resigned as CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, following pleading not guilty to charges of securities fraud.

Now, it appears Shkreli is going on quite the tweet firestorm or his Twitter account has been hacked.

Here’s a look. The tweetstorm happened earlier Sunday afternoon. Warning some of these tweets are NSFW. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tech Insider reached out to Twitter for comment regarding the potential hack. 

"We do not comment on individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons," a Twitter representative told TI.

Still, many people online are calling the strange series of tweets a hack. 

Though if it turns out this isn't a hack, fans of the Wu-Tang Clan might want to give Shkreli a retweet. He paid a reported $2 million for the only copy of the band's latest album.

As of Monday morning, Shkreli posted this tweet claiming the stream of tweets was, in fact, a hack. His account name has been changed from "Martin the God" back to Martin Shkreli.
