People can’t stop sharing a gruesome animated video of Leo being mauled by a bear at the Oscars

The 88th Academy Awards mark the fifth nomination for actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Despite an illustrious acting career, DiCaprio has never won an Oscar.

Tonight, he's considered a frontrunner for best actor for his portrayal of Hugh Glass in the 2016 adventure drama "The Revenant." The film features DiCaprio acting out dramatic scenes in the wilderness in the 1800s as well as a now-infamous encounter with a bear. 

In honor of DiCaprio's nomination, YouTuber The Flippist created a hilarious video of what DiCaprio winning on Sunday night might look like. It's only been viewed a little over 1,000 times on YouTube so far, but the video has been shared without credit by over 20,000 people on Twitter

In the video, DiCaprio heads to the stage to claim his long-awaited Oscars statue, but things take a turn for the worse when his animal costar from "The Revenant" makes a surprise appearance.
