When "The LEGO Movie" was released February 2014, it surprised everyone by becoming an instant box-office hit. It quickly spawned a sequel (2018) and spinoffs, the first of which will be 2017's standalone Batman movie.
Warner Bros. released the first trailer for "The LEGO Batman Movie" Thursday and it looks, well, awesome.
Will Arnett will return as the Caped Crusader while Michael Cera will play his sidekick Robin. The rest of the cast is pretty big, too. Rosario Dawson will play Batgirl and Ralph Fiennes will be Batman's butler, Alfred, and Zach Galifianakis will be the Joker. Mariah Carey will also voice the mayor.
"The LEGO Batman Movie" will be directed by "The LEGO Movie" co-director Chris McKay and will be in theaters February 10, 2017.
