Jaguar might be working on a new electric car

At the New York International Auto Show Wednesday, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said to AutoGuide that “Within two years, we’ll have something that’s not driven by a petrol engine.”

He then jokingly said it'd have “just a couple of hamsters.”

No one at Jaguar has yet confirmed if they are indeed actually working on an electric car.

AutoGuide has also reported that Jaguar recently trademarked the I-Pace and I-Type names, which could indicate that both their new F-Pace SUV and their F-Type sports car will be getting electric versions.

It's likely that if they are working on a new non-gas powered car, we'll see it at the Paris Motor Show later in this year.

Until then, I'll just be here toying around with that gasoline-powered, 575 horsepower, Jaguar F-Type SVR.
