Hurricane Joaquin might become the first hurricane to make landfall in the United States this year.

The storm has already pummeled the Bahamas with winds up to 125 mph. As of Thursday morning, October 1, the storm is a Category 3 storm, but it is expected to pick up strength throughout the day, according to Weather.com.

Although it's uncertain where the storm will move next, US landfall is still a very real possibility.

WNYC has put together a map where you can track the hurricane in real time, which you can use below to see where Joaquin is headed next.

The yellow icon in the tracker shows the storm's latest location, and the white icons that follow it show the latest projected path that the storm will take in the next couple days.
