Here's how you can watch your Tesla drive down Mario Kart's rainbow road

Calling all "Mario Kart" fans, you can finally live your dream of driving on Rainbow Road.

Well, at the very least you can get very close to it. Tesla drivers have always been able to watch their car navigate in real-time on the infotainment console. But an Easter egg now lets you watch your Tesla drive in real time on Rainbow Road:

And when you change lanes, your new lane becomes the Rainbow Road!

To activate it, Tesla CEO Elon Musk says to click Autopilot four times in rapid succession.

This isn't the first fun Easter egg in Teslas — you can also turn your Tesla into the Lotus Esprit sub from "James Bond." All you have to do is hold down the T button in the entertainment menu, which will trigger an Access Code prompt. If you type in 007, the Tesla will transform into the Lotus Esprit.

The Verge, which first spotted the Rainbow Road Easter egg, aptly point out that this is a good way to take everyone's minds off of the Model X recall.

Can we get Yoshi Valley next time, Elon?
