The cast of Broadway's hit musical "Hamilton" performed at the White House on Monday and the President and First Lady rocked out in the front row.

"Hamilton" creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda and cast took the stage after a welcoming introduction from President Obama.

From there, they launched into the show's opening number "Alexander Hamilton," which sets the stage for the life-story of one of America's most controversial founding fathers.

While the audience snapped along and seemed engaged with the performance in the beginning, it was when Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr, the "damn fool that shot" Hamilton) broke it down rapping about Hamilton's rise from a tough childhood that the audience really started getting into it.

The Obamas included.
