"Game of Thrones" season six came to an end with an insane season finale. Among the death and destruction was an oddly hopeful moment for House Stark: Jon Snow was crowned King in the North. The impetus for his spontaneous coronation came from a new fan favorite side character, young Lyanna Mormont

The Lady of House Mormont is played by 12-year-old actress Bella Ramsey, and according to director Miguel Sapochnik, the young thespian is just as incredible in person as her character is on the page.

"Bella was kind of amazing. She had to do that speech over a hundred times and every time she did it with the same gusto as the first," Sapochnik writes to Tech Insider. "There wasn't a single person in the room who didn't applaud her when the day was over. Never really seen anything like it."

Ramsey delivered a rousing speech as Lady Mormont, rallying the northerners to name Jon Snow as King in the North while simultaneously chastising their lack of action in the "Battle of the Bastards."

"Your son was butchered at the Red Wedding Lord Manderly, but you refused the call," Lady Mormont says. "You swore allegiance to House Stark, Lord Glover. But in their hour of greatest need you refused the call. And you, Lord Cerwyn, your father was skinned alive by Ramsay Bolton. Still, you refused the call. But House Mormont remembers. The North remembers. We know no king but the King in the North whose name is Stark. I don't care if he’s a bastard — Ned Stark’s blood runs through his veins. He's my king, from this day until his last day."

The other lords quickly realized how right she was, and rallied to Jon Snow's cause. Despite the epic nature of her lines, Ramsey was taken off guard by the response to her amazing character.

"It's crazy really," Ramsey told HBO in an interview. "I didn't expect anything like it. I am very, very happy that people like Lyanna Mormont."

We can only hope she returns (and stays alive) in season seven. Long may she reign!
