Sunday's "Game of Thrones" was easily one of the series' best episodes yet. Not only did we get the fire-breathing dragon action that we've been waiting for in Meereen, but the episode also culminated in a giant showdown between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton for Winterfell.

HBO released a giant look at what went into creating the Battle of the Bastards Sunday night. While it's worth an entire watch, there's one part in particular you'll want to check out.

This is your last chance to head back before spoilers!

Sure, the entire Battle of the Bastards was fantastic, but one of the best scenes of the night came when Jon finally got his hands on Ramsay Bolton and beat him down with his bare hands.

After mercilessly killing his little brother Rickon moments before they were reunited, Snow went to town on Ramsay, brutally bludgeoning his face with his bare hands. He left him a bloody mess close to death for Sansa to finish up at the episode's end.

Even better than watching Snow give Bolton a taste of what's been coming to him since season three, is knowing that the entire fight is even more awesome to see without the visual effects.

After all, Jon Snow actor Kit Harington isn't really punching Bolton (Iwan Rheon). But it's just as satisfying because Harington's just swinging and punching at air.

Really.

Ramsay is one of the most hated characters on the "Game of Thrones" series. He's probably even more hated than Joffrey at this point. He's traumatized Theon Greyjoy, raped Sansa, and fed his baby brother to his hounds, so to see him getting slapped around by Jon Snow and then witness how it came together is pretty darn amusing.

According to episode director Miguel Sapochnik, the crew filmed ten hours to nail this scene down.

"We actually spent an entire day — ten hours — with Kit on top of Iwan beating him," said Sapochnik. "I shot it from every single angle I possibly could."

Every single angle.

"He's just kneading bread," explains Harington of Jon's actions. "He's just flattening this person's face. And that's what's changed in Jon for me. A monster has risen in him a bit, which, I think should be unsettling for the viewers."

Unsettling as it may be, the takedown of Lord Bolton has been a long time coming. So thank you, Jon Snow. Thank you, Sapochnik. You have made the fandom quite happy.
