Drones are already pretty cool. But controlling a drone by just moving your arms is plain awesome.

A team of researchers in Taiwan has figured out how to harness the sensors in an Apple Watch so that the movement of your arm controls the position of a Parrot AR drone, according to a report from Reuters.

Moving your arm side to side controls the direction of the drone, and raising your hand makes the drone climb.

The Apple Watch has multiple sensors in it, including an accelerometer and gyroscope that track movement. As Reuters reports, the team at PVD+ has created an algorithm, called Dong coding, that recognizes movement to control objects.

And it's not just for drones. In the video, PVD+'s Mark Ven shows how he can change the color of a connected "smart" light bulb to red by simply drawing an "R" with his hand.
