Season two of Netflix's original series "Daredevil" premieres Friday.

Naturally, fans will be wondering whether there are any references or Easter eggs to some of Netflix's other original Marvel characters like Jessica Jones or Luke Cage.

The answer is yes.

In the first seven episodes, there are two direct references to Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.

Luke Cage gets referenced in episode three.

While Foggy's looking for Matt Murdock in a hospital he runs into night nurse Claire Temple who isn't chomping at the bit to help him find their mutual friend.

"I care about our friend. I believe in what he’s doing. I believe the city needs him," Temple tells Foggy. "The truth is, I can’t help anymore. I’ve got this shift from hell because I helped another friend trying to do good — big guy, stronger than our friend, and yet I'm the one who got the shaft. I’m just trying to keep my head down, do my job, stay sane."

In "Jessica Jones," Temple showed up near the end of season one to help Luke Cage after he was gravely injured.

Jessica Jones gets name dropped in episode five while Foggy (Elden Henson) is meeting up with his ex girlfriend and fellow lawyer Marci Stahl at a bar for help with a case.

As they catch up, it turns out Stahl's firm is working on cases with "other vigilantes." In particular, Stahl's boss, District Attorney Samantha Reyes, has her eyes set on taking down the so-called heroes in Manhattan. You may recognize Reyes, who previously appeared in "Jessica Jones."

It turns out she has her eyes set on being the Mayor.

"She aims to do so by building a platform on Frank Castle's conviction. She gets him ... she sets precedent against these other vigilantes popping up. One in our office is already under serious scrutiny — lady by the name of Jessica Jones," says Stahl. "And you know who I bet is next? The horny one — Daredevil. She's gonna turn city-wide disaster into damn fine lemonade."

Frankly, it would be a bit strange if neither Cage nor Jones was casually mentioned throughout the season. All of the heroes exist in the same small patch of Manhattan.

Of course, there's another reason for referencing Jones and Cage in "Daredevil."

Eventually, the heroes will unite in an upcoming series called "The Defenders" with another character, Iron Fist, who will be played by "Game of Thrones" actor Finn Jones.

We haven't heard much about "The Defenders" — we don't even have a release date — but the characters are expected to join forces to take down some threat.

We'll update this post with more references as we're going through the series this weekend.

All 13 episodes of "Daredevil" are currently available to stream on Netflix.
