A Taiwanese couple perfectly parodied those #FollowMeTo pictures

Photos featuring the hashtag #FollowMeTo have populated Instagram since Murad and Nataly Osmann started their travel photo project in 2012.

But a Taiwanese couple has put a new spin on the photo series, and their parody pictures are now going viral.

The classic #FollowMeTo images feature a person, typically a woman, leading someone through a gorgeous landscape by the hand and photographed from the perspective of the photographer. Though the Osmanns invented and perfected the shots with a lot of practice over the years, today the hashtag #followmeto has over 330,000 posts from fans mimicing the now iconic shots.

But a Taiwanese husband-and-wife duo put a humerous spin on the formula during a recent trip to Hawaii and posted the pictures on Facebook. Instead of the graceful shot of someone leading their partner through beautiful scenery, the parody photos feature Agnes Chien dragging her husband, Forrest Lu, around different Hawaiian attractions, spotted by Mashable.

At the time of this post, the photos have over 134,000 likes and had been shared over 39,000 times.

Some of the photos bear quite a resemblance to traditional #FollowMeTo shots:

Except for the hair pulling that is:

The comments section of the Facebook post was full of users tagging their friends and saying they wanted to try taking similar pictures on future trips, so keep an eye out for the inevitable other parodies in the future.
