2 strangers who had a courtship on Instagram finally met — and got married 5 minutes later

Erica Harris and Arte Vann met in-person for the first time on Sunday in an airport in Ontario, California.

Five minutes later, they were married.

The couple had known each other for over a year prior to their airport nuptials, but all of their interactions had been digital, ABC 7 reports. They first met through Instagram, where they sent each other poems and videos. Harris lives in California and Vann in New York, so the distance kept the two from meeting in person.

But that all changed when Vann arrived in California on January 31 and proposed to Harris immediately upon meeting her in the airport terminal. Just a few minutes later, they said their vows (though it's unclear if anybody was actually in the airport to formally officiate the wedding).

"Here he is, and here we are!!" Harris captioned a photo she shared on Instagram after the two were married. "And now...my family is complete."

"You don't drag your feet with real love," Harris told ABC 7. "You leap into that like there's no tomorrow."

Vann bought a one-way ticket to California, ABC 7 also reports, so it seems like the couple is definitely taking that leap.
