In the midst of a fast-paced food video world, long recipes are often broken down into easily digestible minute-long snippets. But Hungarian baker Judit Czinkné Poór of Mézesmanna bakery has successfully seduced 41 million people (and counting) into watching a four minute long video of a cookie being decorated.
That's right — I sat through an entire video of a woman putting icing on a cookie, and was 100% captivated the entire time.
The video was uploaded on February 26, and was shared over 760,000 times in four days. On March 1, Poór posted to her timeline: "Dear my friends! OMG, I'm shocked, and I am very-very happy! Incredible! Thank's for everyone!" she wrote. The Facebook page had reached 280,000 likes — a 478.1% increase from the week before.

On first watch, it was hard to tell exactly what the end product was supposed to be.
But her flower motif quickly becomes apparent. So many smooth lines!
This is where Poór really started to blow minds. Just when the cookie looks nearly done, there's more to add. Here she begins making a crazy-precise grid using the original lines.
Then, a nice looped edge is created.
But wait! There's more! Poór begins filling in select squares on the grid pattern.
And that's when it hits you — she's recreating a doily. The dots eventually connect to look a beautiful lace handkerchief.
No wonder over 40 million people have watched this. Most of us can barely make mediocre holiday cookies once a year, let alone master the icing designs displayed on the Mézesmanna Facebook page.
