3 people have won the $1.5 billion Powerball

The California Lottery reports a winning ticket for the record $1.5 billion Powerball was sold in Chino Hills, California.

Two other winning tickets were reported in Tennessee and Florida, according to Reuters.

The winning numbers are 8, 27, 34, 04, 19. The Powerball is 10.

The Powerball reached a record high of $1,586,400,000 before the 10:59 p.m. Wednesday night drawing.

In addition, the California Lottery says a dozen tickets in were sold that matched five of six numbers in Nipton, Chula Vista, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Santa Monica, Tustin, Pacoima, Vacaville, Cloverdale, Redlands, Gardena, and Irwindale.

 

Even if you don't have all the numbers, you could still end up with some winnings.

The possible cash prize winners could have the following matching numbers:

  • Match all 5 white numbers only — $1 million
  • Match 4 out of 5 white numbers + Powerball — $50,000
  • Match 4 white numbers only — $100
  • Match 3 white numbers + Powerball — $100
  • Match 3 white numbers only — $7
  • Match 2 white numbers + Powerball — $7
  • Match 1 white number + Powerball — $4
  • Powerball only — $4
