There are lots of things that could make your morning worse: spilling your coffee, forgetting an umbrella, seeing a pack of feral dogs wander into rush-hour traffic.
But trying to spread cold butter on your toast is pretty annoying, too.
A new Kickstarter campaign may have solved that problem with the Biēm Butter Sprayer, a device that melts just the right amount of butter and turns it into a delectable spray.
"Butter consumption in the U.S. has hit a 40-year high," the makers explain in their campaign. "Unfortunately, the way butter is served hasn't changed in decades…so we thought: what if we could re-imagine the way people store and use butter?"
Their solution involves placing a stick of butter or serving of your favorite oil into the biēm canister. With just a squeeze of the trigger, the fat of your choice turns into a fine mist that can coat pans, vegetables, toast, popcorn, the family pet, or anything else you feel like covering.
