Beyonce fans wondering who runs the world may find the answer in a book.
In an exclusive interview with Garage Magazine this week, Queen B revealed her favorite book to recommend to young fans. "What Will It Take to Make a Woman President?," written by Marianne Schnall, explores the role of women in their communities and in the world and unpacks solutions for putting a woman in the Oval Office.
"It's a collection of interviews and essays by great women, including Maya Angelou, Gloria Steinem, and Melissa Etheridge," Beyonce told Garage Magazine. "They will inspire you to become a better leader."
Schnall, who works as executive director of Feminist.com, was reportedly inspired to write the book after one of Barack Obama's daughters asked, "Why haven't we ever had a woman president?" during the 2008 election.
The book features interviews with Sheryl Sandberg, Gloria Steinem, Nancy Pelosi, Nicholas Kristof, and a range of politicians, writers, arists, and activists. You can buy it on Amazon for $13.
