I wish Apple would change this one aspect of the Apple Watch

I've owned an Apple Watch since last June — so, almost a year now.

There are a ton of things Apple could improve with the Watch, but many of those things, like battery life and its underutilized communication technologies, will take time to get better.

That said, there is one aspect of the Apple Watch that actually could be changed rather quickly, and it's a problem many iPhone owners are familiar with: the inability to delete first-party apps.

Just like the iPhone, Apple Watch owners are literally stuck with Apple's first-party apps like Stocks and Photos. But there are also plenty of exclusive first-party apps I'll never use like the Camera Remote, which lets you control your iPhone's camera app through the Watch, and Apple's Activity and Workout apps, which are difficult to distinguish and hardly useful, at least for me.

Right now, I can count 20 default Apple apps I can't delete off the Watch. It's even more obnoxious because I can't put those apps I don't want into folders, like I can on my iPhone, to separate the junk from the useful stuff.

This year, Apple is reportedly considering letting iPhone owners hide or delete Apple's preinstalled apps. For the love of technology, Apple, please let me do the same for my Apple Watch apps. Despite being able to organize my Apple Watch apps, it's already hard enough to find the apps I'm looking for — having all of these extra apps I'll never use is a waste of space and it negatively affects my experience with the device. I love having tons of apps, but I don't like not being able to choose them. Let's hope Apple makes this change before the second-generation Watch arrives.

Apple was not immediately available for comment.
