Fresh details about the next version of Apple Music were obtained on Wednesday by 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman.

Here's what Apple's likely to announce during its June developer's conference event ("WWDC") when the company is expected to reveal new details about its music streaming service alongside iOS 10:

New look:

  • New black and white color scheme instead of the current colorful and translucent white theme.
  • "Huge" album artwork to prevent an overly "dull black and white look."
  • Larger black and bold text for menus and tabs.
  • Simplified look for the "For You" personalized music curation feature.

New features allegedly coming:

  • More 3D Touch functionality for easier track previews and sharing.
  • Integrated song lyrics, rolled out gradually as Apple works with artist labels.

What's reportedly being ditched:

  • No more "New" tab. Will be replaced by a "Browse" tab with better organized "top charts, genres, featured music launches, and curated playlists."

We expect Apple to announce the new version of Apple Music at its event in June, as well as the new iOS 10 iPhone operating system.
