It looks like there will be 3 different models of the iPhone 7

A new photo leak found on Chinese micro blog site Weibo and posted by notorious gadget leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer on his site nowhereelse.fr shows three different iPhone 7 models rather than the usual two that Apple released ever since the iPhone 6.

The leak shows what appears to be a regular sized iPhone, a larger Plus model, and a new "Pro" model.

The new Pro model appears to have the dual lens camera that rumors claimed would exclusively feature on the Plus model. However, if the leak is accurate, it seems that the iPhone 7 Plus will have the same single lens camera as the regular iPhone 7, and the dual lens camera will feature on the Pro model.

There's also a Smart Connector on the bottom of the Pro model, but few details exist on its uses. A patent that was recently granted to Apple shows a few ideas the company may have for a Smart Connector on a phone, but it's nothing definitive, as patents aren't a reliable indicator of a final product.

The "S" under the iPhone logo on the bottom half of the alleged iPhone 7 also reinforces rumors that Apple will break its usual release cycle and that its next iPhone won't be called the iPhone 7. Instead, it's claimed that it'll be part of the iPhone 6 generation.

At the same time, it seem unlikely that Apple would release another iPhone "6s," so the "S" on the devices in the photo may actually invalidate this leak.

The leaked photo also reinforces the majority of other rumors that Apple's next iPhone will have redesigned antenna lines that wrap around the top edges rather than traversing the back of the iPhone, like they do on the iPhone 6 generation.

As ever, consider this leak as a rumor and not fact. We'll only know the true details of Apple's plans this September during the company's Fall iPhone event.
