Apple says it's working on a fix for all those buggy iPhones and iPads

If you’re having an issue with your iPhone or iPad since updating to iOS 9.3, you’re not alone.

Apple on Tuesday confirmed the issues in a statement to 9to5Mac, and said the company is working on a fix for the problem.

“We are aware of this issue, and we will release a fix in a software update soon.”

It’s unclear exactly when Apple intends to release this software update, but we imagine it will be relatively soon. As we reported earlier, iPhone and iPad owners have been complaining about their devices freezing after they’ve clicked on links via Apple’s Safari and Mail apps. Some people have complained that links in certain apps don’t work at all.

There’s a pretty lengthy Apple forum thread on the topic, but one user offered some insight as to when we can expect the iOS 9.3 update, presumably called iOS 9.3.1.

“I chatted with Apple Support last night and was told that they’re aware of the problem and that their engineers are working on an update, and that the update should arrive within the next two days,” the user said. “Fingers crossed.”

Apple was not immediately available to comment.
