Apple on Thursday released iOS 9.3.1, an update for all iPhones and iPads that should fix the bug in iOS 9.3 that could crash devices when tapping on a hyperlink.

To implement the update, visit the Settings app in your iPhone or iPad, click General, then click Software Update. You'll see iOS 9.3.1 there waiting for you to download and install.

As we previously reported, iPhone and iPad owners had been complaining about their devices freezing after clicking on links via Apple’s Safari and Mail apps. Some people complained that links in certain apps don’t work at all.

We believe the 9.3.1 update solely addresses the crashing issue when tapping on links, but we'll keep an eye out to see if Apple's added any other fixes or improvements. Apple was not immediately available for comment.
